The latest release from Gaslight features the hauntingly beautiul music of the Native American Flute. Looking back at the time when the first people settled in this area, the Native American influence on our region is documented from the earliest days on the frontier to the height of Native American civilization at Cahokia.
Travel back to the days when the river ran wild and free. The sound of nature was the symphony that performed each and every day. Native American Indians were the caretakers of the land and they placed an indelibile stamp on our region and the river as we know it today. This collection of music gives us a glimpse of how the earth and river spoke before European hands touched it.
This CD features many of todays most popular Native American Flutists including R. Carlos Nakai, Mark Holland, Coyotte Oldman, Keith Bear, Gary Stroutsos, Autumn's Child, Native Flute Ensemble, Mesa Music Consort, Eric Casillas, Red Tail Chasing Hawks, William Eaton Ensemble, & many more.
