Softness is a hallmark of the music of Peter Davison. Those familiar with his "Adagio" series of lifestyle albums know this fact very well; his compositions generally bear an unhurried pace and a flair for omnipresent peacefulness. SOLACE (formerly known as ADAGIO - MUSIC FOR RELAXATION) favors Asian-hued flute melodies, accented with Tibetan bowls and a coat of mild synthesizer gloss. On a few of the cuts, singer Lisbeth Scott also provides wordless vocables and humming, which is delicately blended into the serene mix. From beginning to end, the music is very meditative (the Far Eastern feel of the music adds to this considerably) and would be ideal for everything from a spa atmosphere to yoga to a quiet evening of relaxation.
