Over 1000 years ago, the sage Ku-Kai made a pilgrimage across the Japanese island of Shikoku, stopping at each of the land's 88 sacred shines as part of a quest for wisdom and truth. Shaken by the events of the September 11th disaster in 2001, Grammy-winning composer/musician Kitaro made the decision to follow in the saint's footsteps by making this same journey - SACRED JOURNEY OF KU-KAI (the first of a series) was the result. Each edition in this series covers a leg of the journey, with compositions themed after individual temples. The pilgrimage continues with this second edition, which features more gorgeous synthesizer compositions that incorporate Kitaro trademarks like swelling orchestration, piercing keyboard tones and dramatic percussion.
