When Gabrielle Roth first started producing her unique blend of tribal and ambient music in the mid 1980's, her sound was groundbreaking. Not only was she one of ambient music's first female producers, but she was also one of the first to infuse this style of music with drum beats. Over the course of the last two decades, Roth has been on the forefront of music for shamanic healing and trance dance with well over a dozen albums to her credit. RAVEN RECORDING - THE CLASSICS is a collection of Roth's first four recordings (TOTEM, BONES, INITIATION, RITUAL) for her label Raven Recordings. Each of these albums has been digitally remastered for superior sound by New York City's Sterling Sound, the same outfit responsible for the final layer of gloss put on albums by such artists as Norah Jones and Lenny Kravitz.
