ONE WORLD, MANY CULTURES is a concept album from Putumayo, highlighting duets and collaborations between artists of differing ethnic backdrops. In many cases, the pairings are very interesting and offer two disparate musical perspectives. Like Malian artist Tama joining forces with U.K. based Indian artist Susheela Raman or Willie Nelson's duet with Jamaican reggae group Toots & the Maytals. The artists hail from all over the globe, although the sounds of Africa come across more dominantly on the release, with almost all of the collaborations involving an African artist. Other artists featured include Wasis Diop, Ziggy Marley, Baka Beyond, Gigi and more.
