MORNING BREEZE, from German born composer/musician Anugama, makes the perfect transition from a restful night of sleep to the AM hours. As the album title implies, lightness is a key factor in making this album so pleasing. Colorful instruments, including panflutes, African percussion (lots of rattles and clicking instruments), guitars, drums and synthesizers, are whipped into an effervescent concoction that calls to mind a tropical isle at daybreak. Further enhancing the mental picture are the beautiful sounds of nature, including birdsong, ocean waves and variety of other environmental sounds. The music also has a buoyant sense of joy that lifts the spirit and helps one start their day on the right foot.
