Sarah Brightman, one of the most successful classical cross-over artists to date, takes her next step down the road she forged with her hit album EDEN. Themed after the romance of the moon, LA LUNA is a beautiful and diverse album. The classical fare performed on the album is truly stunning. The title track, based on a Dvorak piece is epic and filled with the soprano's trademark vocal flourishes. Recreations of Beethoven's "Figlio Perduto" and Ennio Morricone's "La Califfa" are equally memorable. Brightman's pop choices include a Bach-inspired remake of Procol Harem's "A Whiter Shade of Pale" and a well sung rendition of Dido's "Here With Me."
