Hot on the heels of their successful 2003 collection FRENCH CAFÉ, Putumayo is once again spending quality time in the café setting. This time around the location du jour is Italy. Given that there are some similarities in instrumentation (accordion, strings, overall mood, etc), fans of the French outing would be wise to give this a try as well. Putumayo did a great job of selecting artists for this release, including both vintage favorites from the 50's/60's as well promising new talent. As such, you get a rather comprehensive look at the Italian café scene, with artists like Fred Buscaglione, Quartetto Cetra, Nicola Arigliano, Quadro Nuevo and more.
