With each album released by R. Carlos Nakai, it seems his sound gets richer and richer. As such, FOURTH WORLD is without a doubt his most lush release to date. The quiet sound of his Native American flute playing shines against the orchestral talents of the Canyon Symphony, who illuminates each of the eleven tracks with sweeping waves of strings. The effect of flute on strings is very soothing, and makes each track flow with a blend of organic harmony and classical elegance. "Fourth World, Rainbow World" and "Eye of the Eagle" are a few great examples of this tranquil interplay, the latter using oboe for added poignancy.
