Offering another dose of sonic impressionism from his "At Peace" music series, Michael Benghiat's FLOW (originally released as SUNSET PRAIRIE) is sixty plus minutes of pure tranquility for relaxation and meditation. Benghiat wields the instruments in his arsenal as a painter applying brushstrokes to a canvas; flute and piano flourishes make beautiful statements the foreground, angelic vocalese and very light percussion haunt the backdrops. Trackwise, "Flow" is the most interesting of the four; it uses keyboards to give the song an Asian flair. The remaining three pieces are more acoustic sounding, at times reminiscent of something from the Windham Hill label.
