With a pop-oriented sound atypical of the New World label and an interesting use of reverb effects to create vocals with a haunting, layered effect, Sally Oldfield's debut is a refreshing change of pace. Her fluid voice molds to each of the synthesized, highly percussive melodies, developing soundscapes that leave a lasting impression in the mind. The album opens with the title track, an Adiemus-like song utilizing heavy drum beats and organic choir vocals, and deftly moves from song to song with smooth transitions and a catchy vibe that continues through the concluding track, a swirling electronica piece called "Mirrors." Reminiscent of worldbeat fusion artists like Aria and Enigma.
