Innocence and imagination playfully mingle in the whimsical, almost otherworldly compositions of Mike Rowland. As a composer and multi-instrumentalist, Rowland has been exploring the sublime side of the new age realm for almost two decades. Despite having released a multitude of albums in that time, Rowland's music still manages to revel in the same sort of simplistic dreaminess that his early compositions embodied. DREAM OF FAIRIES & ANGELS incorporates one new element, nature sounds, into the mix, although such ambience is situated more towards the interludes between tracks. The music is heavy in the synthesizer department, with synths that are at times lush and dense and at others tender and reminiscent of orchestral strings.
