CUCHAMA takes its name from Mount Tecate southeast of San Diego, the "high exalted place" of the Yuma and Cochimi Indians, the place where they seek their spirit visions. The music has the fire and romance of polished flamenco with touch of Caribbean and jazz. Govi's stellar acoustic guitar is enhanced by his sitar and bass work alongside guest performances from Anugama (udu drum) and Karunesh (digital key board). The album is a signature piece for Govi and offers a wealth of enjoyment.
