Elegant pianist Steve Hall, whose fanciful touch on the Steinway piano has yielded over three dozen releases, expands his repertoire to explore music of the "Old West" with COUNTRY CROSSROADS. Featured here are a dozen classic country/Western folk tunes, spirituals and pop songs that conjure up images of the vast frontier. Hall's piano playing provides the main melodies alongside a wide variety of backing instrumentation, including guitar (David Patt), orchestration (Andre Mayeux), banjo, mandolin, percussion, fiddle and minor use of vocals.
