Pianist extrordinaire Emile Pandolfi's latest recording is a departure from his usual repertoire of recognizable songs from America's popular songbook. This new labor of love is an album of interpretations of classical pieces by compser Frederic Chopin. A few of these selections are familiar to 20th century listeners as pop songs anyway: "Fantastic Impromptu Op. 66" is also in "Always Chasing Rainbows," "Etude in E Op 10 #3" is also the beloved standard "No Other Love" and finally, "Polonaise in AB Op 53" is the Perry Como classic "Till the End of Time." So, Pandolfi proves we all know some of Chopin's best work, even those of us who thought we knew nothing about classical music!
