In Fall of 2005, Snatam Kaur took part in a multiple-city tour dubbed "Celebrate Peace", sponsored by Spirit Voyage Music, Peace Cereal and several other like-minded companies. The traveling event was created to promote peace through free educational programs, workshops and concerts. CELEBRATE PEACE (the album) was influenced by this tour and features over an hour of uplifting songs and mantras from Kaur. One interesting aspect of the album is the inclusion of English-language songs ("Deep Blue Sea," "People of Love," etc.), which show that her voice is equally beautiful in a Western setting. The instrumentation follows Kaur's typical style of guitars and percussion mixed with harmonium, sitar and tabla.
