AETERNA is inspired by the late 19th century romantics Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky. Throughout this recording, the piano is the dominant voice. "The Dawning" starts off this release with sound emerging from silence, giving way to a gentle melody. Woodwinds and strings join in and the music starts to soar. Each tune that follows is bouyant and introspective. Blending keyboards with chimes, shakuhachi flute, guitar, clarinet, strings and female vocals, this release showcases Demby's compositional skills. AETERNA expounds on the themes of fulfillment and remembrance, leaving the listener with a profound sense of serenity.
