"Nouveau Flamenco 1990-2000 Special Tenth Anniversary Edition".
This new edition features all new mixes and 5 previously unavailable
tracks from the original recording sessions. The album includes the three
songs which were on the very limited edition release "Marita: Shadows +
Storms" and which were not released on "Nouveau Flamenco". Also included
are two additional songs from the recording sessions that were never
released anywhere.

Since exploding on to the scene in 1990 with his classic NOUVEAU FLAMENCO, Ottmar Liebert has continually redefined the face of flamenco music, establishing himself as one of the genre's top draws. With THE SANTA FE SESSIONS, Liebert takes a few of his bigger hits back to the drawing board, thus giving them a new updated sound - a sort of acoustic "remix." The idea was to capture the essence of his live shows, where Liebert tends to improvise upon and alter his tunes to fit the current mood. Songs like "Barcelona Nights," "Snakecharmer" and "Havana Club" all benefit from added horn sections, guitar arrangements and an elongated running time. Also included are two new tracks: "Sao Pablo" and "Song for Pablo."
